Most asphalt shingle roofs in Western North Carolina last 20 to 25 years. Our mountain weather (heavy rain, hail, freeze-thaw cycles, and high UV at elevation) takes a real toll on roofing materials. If your roof is approaching that age range, it's time for a professional inspection.

A new roof is only as good as the airflow under it. Every replacement we do includes a look at your attic ventilation. Then we balance intake and exhaust so the new shingles don't cook from below. That usually means clearing or adding soffit vents and putting in a new ridge vent along the peak.
Good ventilation keeps your attic cooler in the summer and drier in the winter. It also helps keep your shingle warranty valid.
Since the roof is already torn down to the edges, it's also the best time to swap out old gutters. We can put up seamless gutters and downspouts sized to the new roof line, tied in behind the new drip edge so water goes where it should.
